Mali, Africa - Short Doc

In early 2010, musician and former Peace Corp volunteer, Adam Klein and filmmaker, Jason Miller traveled to Mali where Klein recorded a Mande music album, called Dugu Wolo, of original songs in the Bambara language featuring traditional Malian instrumentation (kora, ngoni, calabash, talking drum, djembe, etc.). Miller documented every step of the process and more importantly shows Mali through the lens of some of Klein's close friends as he struggles to remain connected with and support his friends and home community from a distance as he works to gain footing and establish his career in the states.
